EX.NO NOVO explores the relationship between the past and present of the former sugar refinery in Forlimpopoli (FC), a place now abandoned to the passage of time and a landmark of the town’s recent history. Breaking through the desolation beyond the gates are traces and glimpses of the human presence that once occupied the site, echoes of the movement and frenetic activity that unfolded there. These sonic reflections evoke, with a sense of melancholy, a series of events and situations more poetically connected to the imaginary world of the sugar refinery.
