“Silence is not the absence of sound. It is a compositional condition.”
The research investigates sound as a spatial, material, and perceptual element, focusing on the relationships between sound, space, technology, and listening. Through sound installations, performances and multimedia works, explores the idea of a dynamic ecosystem in which sound, architecture, technological systems and the listener continuously interact.
His practice-based research also examines extended forms of composition and the role of the artist as designer and mediator of complex listening environments. Particular attention is given to multichannel diffusion, immersive listening, spatial perception and silence as a compositional and perceptual parameter.
PhD Candidate in Film, Audiovisual, Sound and Media Studies, Academy of Fine Arts in Naples.
